My G-grandfather,Thomas Gawn/e B-1825,at Ballaugh emigrated to Victoria Australia 1849/50.His sibblings went to USA(Penns+Ohio).
I would like to hear from anyone who believes there is a connection.Thomas was the son of John Gawn/e and Ann (ne Boyde)
