My grandfather,Jacob Garth, was a regular in the Lancashire Fusiliers 1st Bn from about 1904 -1913. He served in India (now Pakistan). He left the army in 1913 and rejoined in August 1914 with the 2nd Bn. He died on 14 September 1914 in France aged 26 years.
Does anyone know of Jacob or have information of the progress of the 2nd & 1st Bns during these times. I have tried L F Museum to no effect.
