Please could somebody help me - I'm stuck!!!
I am trying to trace my Bridson family in the Isle of Man - the information I have is as follows :
My Grandmothers mother was called Elizabeth Bridson, she was born in Malew in 1899.
Her parents were John Bridson and Annie Craine. John and Annie were married in Dec 1883 in Malew.
The 1901 census shows John as a 45 year old market gardener born in Malew. So must have been born around 1856.
John's father (per the marriage cert) is given as John Bridson a Tailor. I can find the father in the 1881 census but he was a Widower boarding at Fort St in Onchan.
I just can't find the birth for John the son, it is so difficult without the Mothers name.
Can anybody please point me in the right direction of where to go next!!
