My mother was Margery Gelling (1903-1996). Her great grandfather was Thomas Edward Gelling who married Margaret Kelly and came to Australia with their 6 children from the Isle of Man about 1853. He was from Marown/Braddan. They are both buried in the Pioneer Cemetary in Tumut NSW, both dying in 1866.
My mother's grandfather was also Thomas Edward (1842-1919) as was her father (1869- 1909).
It would seem possible that there is a relationship with the original Gellings who came to Australia. Do you know any more??
