Hello there; Trying to locate where my great-great grandparents Abraham Lawson and Mary Mcmenemy might have originated; the story is that both families were in the Orkney Islands for centuries(!) through several upheavals/ruler changes, and left for Northern Ireland, from where both families (or many of the offspring) migrated to Canada. I think the Orknies may be wrong, and am looking for an island where Lawson and Mcmenemy families may have coexisted. I do have a couple of photographs from the 1800s. Toni
