I have reason to believe that my maternal ancestors were from the Isle of Man.
The surnames are Stubbs, Almendorf or Elmendorf and Ross. Are these common surnames.
I have traced my ancestry (Stubbs/Ross) back to approx. years 1590-1620 ariving in what is now Northeast United States. Mention was made in some transcripts of these people coming from the Isle of Man. If anyone has any information I would greatly appreciate it.
