There was a George Cowley who lived in Laxey. Had daughters Reena,who now lives at Glen Mooar,Laxey,(01624-862873))Mrs Walter Senogles).
And younger daughter was Manna, who lives in Sulby(Mrs Dougie Birstow)who lives in Sulby.
George worked on a Steam Packet ferry and died in the 1960`s.
I was only talking to Reena a couple of weeks ago ,she`s a good sort and will probably help you out. If this is not your line, she will know all about the other Cowley`s from the Laxey/Lonan area.
