I have a gggrandfather Charles Caren born c 1815 in Braddan, M Eilzabeth Kelly 1838. They had 9 children inc.Alfred b 1846 (my ggrandfather)
My reason for replying to you is that on Charles marriage record one witness is John Karran. Sometimes names change over the years.Charles moved to Liverpool, where he was a policeman for 28 years.Does this help?
