Hi fellow Manx researchers. I am trying to find any information on an Edward Robert Quail. First appearance was at his wedding in Sydney, NSW in 1856. States on his marriage cert that he was born Isle of Man, age 30 years, fathers name left blank but occupation joiner. Mothers name Jane Dorey.
Edward was at some stage a ship's captain so I assume he came to Oz as a crew member. Either that or swam as he is'nt on any passenger list.
Any help or nudge in the right direction would be much appreciated.
