The 1851 census has:-

John Quayle 69 mason Lezayre
Judith Quayle 70 Andreas
Ann Quayle 28 Andreas daughter
Thomas Hampton 4 Andreas Grandson

John Quayle 31 mason Andreas
Isabella Quayle 26 Lonan
Jemima Quayle 6 Lonan daughter
Louisa Quayle 1 Andreas daughter

A John Joseph Quayle was christened 14 Sept 1852 to John Quayle and Isabella Kermode. They were married in Lonan 25 Jan 1845.
Since John Joseph was a mason and contractor and they all lived near the Lhen at a place known as Quayles Park, its a good bet that he was part of this family. Another daughter to John and Isabella was called Jane 4 , she was staying with her aunt Eleanor Dugdale and her husband William at Ballamarthelt a 10 acre farm owned by William Lawson. I wonder if there is a connection with Brian Lawson ?
In a short book about the Lhen written by Thomas Kinrade he describes the residents of the Lhen coast in the late 1800s. He mentions the Dugdale land and cottage built 1865 by John Quayle for his sister, but eventually the Dugdales moved to Ramsey. The cottage was then occupied by Thomas Kinrade (it may have been the author).
By 1881 John Joseph and Mary Jane were living at Ballawhane with their daughters Jane 4 and Isabella K. 1. Ballawhane is just up the road from the Lhen river and Quayles Park.
If you recognise any of this let me know and i will provide a bit more.
