I like Janette, have just started tracing the family tree, the darkened room does not help once the addiction has taken hold. I would like some very straight forward advice. Having come to a grinding halt with my fargher tree, and having spent some time reading through the messages posted on this very useful site, I am able to travel to the Isle of Man for some research, what advice would you give a) in preparation to come and b)when I get there.

On reading the site messages are there specific publications that you can subscribe to for IOM ancesters or groups socities etc.

My fargher is John who married Helena Mary Glover and settled in Southampton having come there via Liverpool. John was an upholsterer and !!Journeyman. Many thanks. Kay
