According to my dusty Manx books,if ownership of a parcel of land was being disputed, they used to call in four men (the local top brass of the day) known as the "Bing Veg"(little jury)to settle the matter.When the matter was settled this land would be known as a "Whallag"(little court).So there could be a few "Whallag`s"in Malew!
