Many of the older members of the Society will know Noreen for the great work she did in transcribing the burial registers etc and as Librarian - in the last year her movement was impaired and although she still drove (and there are many tales re that!) she found steps difficult, especially those to the FHS library.
On Tuesday 3rd Dec she was found dead in her house in Peel - it is thought (but so far no inquest date set) that she may have fell and banged her head.
Those that knew her will also know that she wanted no church service and had already organised her grave plot.
She will be sadly missed
