Who was John Quayle the blacksmith, who was the father of an illeg child, Elizabeth Quayle b 1841, KM.
Eliz was our ggg grandmother, and her marr and death cert list her father as John Quayle. Her mother was also Elizabeth Quayle, b 1810, d 1844, the daughter of Thomas and Eleanor Grimshaw.
But who was John? There is a death record for a John Quayle in 1866, aged 65 yrs.
Could this be our man?
