Hi - this question has been asked before on our site. Finch Hill Cottage was located on the Christian/Buck/Finch Estate (now part of Douglas). It was located on the parcel of land between the House of Industry (Ellan Vannin Home) and Windsor Road. Probably built by Buck about 1800 as the Finches always lived in the town. Demolished c 1885. The cottage appears with grounds on the 1969 O.S. Map. Are you descended from the Christians?
