I am the son of Isabelle Louise Arfsten whose maiden was Kaneen. Her father,Philip Edward Kaneen, was born in Douglas, Isle of Man. Her mother was Milla Sophia Nordvik, who was born on a small island off the coast of Norway. My grandfather and grandmother met, married in Oakland, CA and had three children; Philip Herman Kaneen (deceased), Isabelle Louise Kaneen (living in Orinda, CA now age 85)and Edward Kaneen (died age 15). Philip Herman Kaneen married Barbara Kaneen (still living in San Leandro, CA)and had one daugther, Patricia Kaneen.
