Caesar was a common christian name at one time in north of Island.Came from a an Italian family of that name who,while initially wealthy,soon mixed with native Manx.This would have during the time when only Manx Gaelic was spoken,leaving the christian name as the only evidence of Italian heritage.They may have been Catholic refugees.The name is found in many Manx families as well as Clucas.
