Has anyone any clues as to whom this James Cowell is please? A postcard posted in Ramsey postmarked "July 17 1907" showing photograph of Ramsey Lifeboat and crew "Mary Isabella" (my grandfather is pictured on this, Albert Palmer). Addressed to James Cowell, Boat "Island Lass of Peel" Lerwick, Shetland Isles,
Scotland. Writing has worn away quite a lot but shows "family here for the day" and mentions "Charlie and Harry" and also an "Emma". On the 1881 census there was a brother and sister called Emma and James living in Peel, could it be them? Second time of showing this message so hope 2nd time lucky! Thanks..Pat
