my ancestors came from the IOM and their names were Brew from Jurby,Lonan and Onchan. My grandfather left the IOM for Canada probably after l87l census and married in Vancouver Canada July 4,l899 and died before July 4,l900. His name was John Maxwell Brew. I can't find anything of him or about him after he left the island. He married Mary Jackson Cochrane, widow, from Toronto,Ontario.
