My great-great-aunt Etta Joughin, Ballaquark, Bride, married Thomas Craine of Osborne Terrace, Douglas, who was assistant to W. M. Corkill, the Secretary and Manager of The IoM Steam Packet Company when their ship Ellan Vannin went down. Craine took Corkill's place on his retirement in 1928, dying in office the following year aged 70. If anyone knows my Uncle Tom Craine's origins, I would be pleased to know.
